Glyph-X is a fun, challenging, and addictive puzzle game. The object of the game is to match different colored tiles, containing various glyphs. The level is complete when all of the squares on the board have been used at least once. Matching a row or column of tiles will clear that row or column, allowing the space to be used again if necessary to complete other rows and columns. To place a tile, it must match either by color or by glyph to any neighboring tiles. Each level starts with a “wild” tile that will match any color or glyph. As the level progresses, random tiles are drawn to place on the board. Special tiles are also randomly drawn. The special tiles include wild tiles and clear row, clear column, and clear row & column tiles. All special tiles are wild and can be placed in any open space next to any tile.
As the levels increase, so do the number of colors and number of different glyphs. There are three different sets of glyphs to choose from including Chinese zodiac, western zodiac, and solar system glyphs. You can also enter in you birthday to see which glyphs represent you. Check the info tab.
The game includes four difficulty levels to choose from so you can choose the level of difficulty hat suits your mood. The game can be played both in portrait and landscape modes. Just turn your device and the board automatically shifts so you shift modes any time the mood strikes, even in the middle of a game. So. what are all the glyphs anyway? A quick jump back to the main menu and you can change your glyph set and resume your game using the new glyphs. However, if you decide to change the difficulty, your saved game will be lost and you will have to start a new game. When starting a new game, you can start at level 1, or if you have already completed level 1, you can start at the highest level you have already played in the currently selected difficulty level.
